Combining Corn

I like to call this, "Luke with corn". I thought it was cute he found almost a whole ear of corn in the field. Mark did not think it was so cute. Evidently the combine was supposed to combine that corn and not leave it in the field. He then asked me how many more I saw like that. Not yet being accustomed to being a farmer's wife, I didn't know I was supposed to be counting ears of corn as I chased my 3 kids through the remnants of a corn field while trying to keep them out of the way of the massive John Deere machine headed straight for them. Next time I'll be sure to count.
It didn't take long for Mark to feel right at home on the farm again. He said they had seriously upgraded the combine since the last time he was driving and he was having fun!
Caleb found a piece of corn stalk that became very special to him. Unfortunately, nobody mentioned to Grandpoppy how special that particular stalk was and when Caleb showed it to him, he quickly dissected it and started to chew on it. The look on Caleb's face was absolute shock! Grandpoppy, being the compassionate Grandpa that he is, quickly scooped Caleb up and off they went to find another very special stalk for him.

Pedro, still teaching the 3 yo class, thanks to your persuasive ways, misses your boys! He has mentioned more than once wishing Luke and Caleb were still there.
Great pix! Looks like they're all enjoying the new life!

Many blessings to you!
