Gotta Play Outside

Playing outside on Grandpoppy's and Grandma's farm is one of the boys' most favorite things to do. The John Deere pedal tractor is, of course, the most coveted item. Here are a few shots of them at the height of their happiness for the day.

Sisters

During pregnancy, Claire was so excited about the chance of having a baby sister that we often talked about how God knew which kind of sibling would be best for our family and we'd be happy with either kind.
But when Lydia was actually born a girl no one could be happier for Claire than me. Never having had a sister, I felt like I must have really missed out that sister-sister bonding thing. (Some of friends with sisters say I really didn't) In spite of the 6 year age difference I'm still praying Claire and Lydia will be inseperable playmates and friends and we'll have many a girls' weekend to help with the sister-sister bonding!

Bringing Home Baby

How exciting it was to bring home our newest treasure! Everyone asked in the hospital, "Is this your first baby?" When they heard it was my 4th, the response was ALWAYS, "Wow." (But said without any real enthusiasm). Hopefully, the saw how excited we were to have another addition to our family and were blessed by our blessing.

Lydia meets her siblings

Claire adores her new baby sister and Luke is smitten!

After everyone gets a turn to hold the baby they pose with their new Big Brother, Big Sister shirts that Grandma bought.

Did I mention Luke was smitten? He asks to hold her almost every day.

Introducing Lydia Ruth!

Here's one of God's most recent miracles! This is Lydia on her first day at home. She's been our easiest baby so far....or maybe I wasn't supposed to say that since we (read "Jody especially") have not had a couple of almost 4 year old boys around with a new baby in the house!
